Acupuncture is one component of the ancient science and art of traditional Chinese medicine. It has been practised throughout the Eastern world, including India, Japan and Ceylon for well over 4,500 years, and has become part of many traditional healing practices. Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used medical procedures in the world. Today acupuncture is recognized around the globe as a major treatment for many health conditions.

Consider Acupuncture for Your Health Condition

Acupuncture is one component of the ancient art of traditional Chinese medicine which involves a family of unique treatments including moxibustion, cupping, herbal &/or homeopathic therapies, dietary therapy, Tuina or Oriental massage.

Acupuncture has a general systemic regulatory effect, therapeutically influencing the mechanisms that when hindered, contribute to the development of disease. Today’s research has proven that acupuncture is a precise peripheral nerve stimulation technique. Fine solid needles are inserted into neuro-reactive anatomical sites for the therapeutic purposes of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system, the endocrine, exocrine and immune systems.

Acupuncture is a relatively painless process. There can be minimal discomfort around the point of the needle. You may feel some numbing. However, any discomfort that lingers beyond a few moments will prompt us to remove the needle.
